I purchased this hatch in July 2019. It was a result of random walk-in to different showrooms, in my case as a first-car-buyer, Proton & Perodua.
I took the Iriz for a test drive for a distance of 2kms. Immediately, i had fallen in love with it. The rigidity of the chassis, smooth cornering and excellent suspension (for this price range) made me to quickly book one for myself.
9 months forward, the love i had for Iriz blossommed more than ever. It is my daily drive, weekend drive, business drive and party drive.
Wanna corner at 100kmh, within your lane, the ESC kicks in and keeps you in the lane. Wanna avoid a random cat crossing the street, PROTON Ride and Handling kicks in. Wanna overtake some random car as you’re late for your date, the CVT kicks in, although some lag experienced, but at least you reach your destination on time😉.
Feeling like to have a late nite supper, on-the-go, Iriz could accompany you with the good sound system, playing your music, from Spotify or USB, your call.
Last but not least, remember that Iriz was used in rally racing too, and won the Woodpecker Stage Rally 2019. Iriz was also featured in the World Rally Championship video game. Isn’t that enough to prove my words😎.
A word of advice to first time car buyer, you buy a car that will serve you at least 5 years to 9 years. Invest in a car that makes you feel comfortable and confident without sacrificing your money for highly priced cars. You got a future to invest in, and paying more than you can afford for a depreciating asset is not an option.
